    general whining post

long ago and far away I purchased a dream ride for my wife. cost was no object, the latest technology and ride was of paramount importance.

I bought her a new GT LTS 3, and she was thrilled. So thrilled in fact she rode it several times over the years, wearing out a whole set of brake pads and everything! I added new risers and Grip shift and a decent stem that wasn't way out there XC style.

All good things must come to and end. I just sold it for a whopping $250. Ya I know I know, but it seems such a shame.

    Whine over.

fortunately she IS riding the Titus I bought to replace it.

On the bright side, no more bushings, RS Coupe deluxe. and other assorted guaranteed failures.

oh, but the titus's are fugly compared to that beaut of a GT! I'm glad to hear she IS riding the titus! I wonder what happened to all those LTS's?

my wife does enjoy the zoke fork and RS bouncy post on her HT I put on for her last b-day, too bad she doesn't ride more...
I tink it's time to make her a 1x1 to take the thinking out of it. (=

With the cash from the sale you can buy her a new stem and some new faster rolling tires for the Titus!

What do you know, her bike is still for sale...

$250 - you old fool! I told you that you could probably get .8 times that if you held onto it for 20 or 30 years.

I once lusted after those GTs. Settled for a Trek Y-50; yup I was a real smart boy. Darn things kept breaking for some reason, hehehe.

    Well that's dumb!

    but I win: 1 x '94 RTS 2 followed by a '96 LTS 2, then bought my wife the LTS 3.

You'd think I'd learn but oooooooooooooo, nnnnnnnnoooooooooooo, not the sharpest pencil in the cup.

but I finally got is sorted out, sort of, with 3 nice bikes that work; 1 for Faye and 2fer me!

When I was in Cash Converters that night picking up my stolen bike, there was one of those in there and a guy bought it for 1,000 bucks, and it was pretty scarred up too.

I am glad to see a new ride is on the plate. My wife is still riding a hardtail, I need to go for the upgrade.
