FSA orbit x headset. MTB or road?

Does anyone know if the FSA orbit x is a road or mtb headset, websites i have seen indicate it to be a road set. Has anyone used it on an mtb?

    Well, parts is parts

So if the headset's the right size for your bike, it'll work.

That said, I had one on my road bike the past year, and was not impressed. The lower seal doesn't seem that good, and despite packing grease around the sealed bearing, there was quite a bit of rust in the lower cup. I don't think the bearing itself was damaged, but the outer shell was exposed.

They are pretty light, though you need to be careful installing the crown race. The alloy it's made of is real soft, and you really want to use a tool with a matching bevel.

I've had no problems with the lowly Cane Creek C2, on the other hand, and they're available dirt-cheap on Ebay. The S-series are a little more cash, but have stainless bearings, which might be a good idea. I've always packed grease around the bearings, though, which seems to prevent any corrosion. I also like to open the bearings themselves, clean out the factory grease, and pack them with something good. They seem to use a thin layer of glue instead of grease, and stock, the thing turns very syrupy.
With real grease, they work like a headset should - transparently.
