    The Dream Bike Thread

    Here's my "budget" dream bike.
For my next bike, I am planning on buying a frame from a LBS. (Rocky Mountain Instinct alloy).
From there, I found all the parts I want online and put together a "budget dream build".

    Fork: RockShox Pike @ 140mm
    Brakes: Shimano Deore XT 180/160
    Handlebar: RaceFace Atlas .5" rise @ 785mm
    Grips: RaceFace Sniper dual locking
Rear Derailleur and Shifters: Shimano Saint Shadow+
    Seatpost: RockShox Reverb
    Stem: RaceFace Respond @45mm
    Pedals: Shimano Saint
Shock: Fox Float Kashima @ 130mm
    Saddle: WTB Volt Race
Tyres: Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35 trailstar w/ Maxxis tubes
    Wheelsets: RaceFace Turbine
Bar Ends: Tioga Powerstud carbon fibre
Headset: FSA carbon spacers /Nukeproof headset and top cap
    Chain: Shimano XT
Crankset: Raceface Ride w/ bash guard and 32t chainring
    Cassette: Shimano SLX 11-36

    Comments and Questions are welcome.
Go on and post your own "budget dream bike".

Although I probably don't really need quite that much suspension, but since we are dreaming and all, I might as well dream beyond my skill level.

My dream bike doesn't exist... yet. I think my dream build some day will start off with a long discussion of bike geometry with a frame builder. I'm tired of being between a small and a medium. I want my own custom frame.
    The cake is a lie.

Firefly 29er with the ability to be run ether geared or single. Tyler does some insane work.

Firefly Bicycles | World-class bicycles, handmade in Boston, Mass.

as for parts, probably sram 1x11, a Fox Talas, and all sorts of other titanium bits.
