Yes my pics were from the Redington area of the ride. Also included Bug Springs and Milagrosa.

Awesome. The terrain looked a little off to be Redington but I was sure that was the Catalina Mountains on the horizon in a couple shots. Storm clouds always look great over there too.

I'll have to check this out when I finally manage to get a bike.

Dang it, can't give you any rep this time around - mtbr says I gotta spread it around more before I can do it - however, I feel you deserve some more rep! Awesome pics and you always make us midwesterners jealous this time of year when we are under 10" of snow....

    LOL.
I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

Just want to know so I can, um, avoid it on vacation, although, out of curiosity, may have to check it out in person to see if it is as awful as it looks, with the truly unattractive hills and rocks and whatnot.

I have straight-up, green, biblical envy. Covetous, I am.
Pittsburgh is great, but only when thawed... Enjoy AZ for me.

    Lovely landscape. Everyone looks stoked

We are buried in snow here, so it's nice to see some dirt and wish for an early spring

What really caught my eye was the change from low desert scenery I usually associate with Tucson area.

We even got real tree when you go up a little higher. The Lemmon Drop has you going from Pines at 9000' to the desert floor at 2500 in 35 miles.

Fantasy Island is a delight. We rode it on a trip through Tucson maybe 7 years ago. Our mistake was not realizing quite how early we should have been out riding; this would have been the end of May/first week of June. There were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot when we started and only our car when we finished and the heat was starting to come on big time. Still quite fun. Gotta watch out for the cactus, though!
