Good job! Did I get a killer deal on my Rocky Mountain Element Sport? ('11)

    Hey guys,

I have been out of the MTB world due to some health issues; but i'm back!

This is my first dually - I got her as a previous rental bike from Mammoth. By the way; if you haven't tried their gondola runs, they are immensely fun!

I got this bike for 300 'Merican post the deduction of the daily bike rental cost. Awesome in my mind.

Rocky Mountain 2011 Element Sport - Pinkbike

However, this rental version has mechanical disc brakes, vs the hydraulic. OH THE HORROR.

Not my bike - but damn close. Imagine a bike that's like this.

Quick question's since I've been out of the game:

If I change these cheap parts I have laying around, can I drop the bike 2-3 pounds?
    - Stem, Handlebar, Spacers
    - Seat
    - Pedals

Probably not 3lb, but closer to 2. There are 454g per pound, for reference.

    Nice score, btw.
    Now with eggs.

    And in a big way!

That's a great bike. One of the best Downhillers in CO (The best maybe?) rides one of those as his XC rig. I know him from a few rides. He's sick going downhill AND up!

I've always loved those frames. If one ever came in 650b I'd sign up in a heartbeat.
