Culvert and Confluence Trails, Auburn, CA (POV)

x-post from the Nor Cal Forum:

Temps in the high 40's with light rain and drizzle made for a chilly and soggy day. Not many puddles on the trail at all but the rocks were fairly slick. CAUTION was the word of the day. FUN TIMES!

Rode out and back on Confluence and Culvert. Started up Connector, but it started raining harder so I turned back. Back markers effed up my flow in several places on the descent. Dang it. Got to the bottom and it stopped raining so I did another out and back on Confluence/Connector. The second time down was hella fun.

Cool vid. I very nearly broke my collar bone on that first jump on Confluence in 2006 or so. I LAUNCHED up in to the tree/bush on the right. Was not fun.

Great video - I have stopped by and ridden the area on the way to Tahoe a few times. There are definitely sections where if things go wrong you could fall to your death. I think that song saying "fallen fallen" would make me even more nervous. Great choice for the video!
