    Che Guevara's bicycle

I was poking around on wiki and I ran across Che Guevara's bio. I noticed that he wrote a book about his travels thru S. America on a motorized bike during his youth called the "Motorcycle Diaries." Then I noticed the picture.

I wonder what kind of bike Hitler rode?

You should probably go easy on the self congratulation there, Bob. Comparing a political figure you don't like with Hitler isn't exactly subtle. I suspect one or two people got it.

Didn't realise Che was a golfer though. Man the barricades at the 18th green comrades!

I just believe that most people know as much about Che as they do about von Dutch. He's a dude on a T-shirt and the T-shirt's in style (or was in style in the case of von Dutch)

Heroes & villains, heroes & villains... always comes down to perspective in the end.

Regardless of his successes & failures later in life, that is one amazing journey then or now, made even more impressive if that's the "motorcycle" he rode.
    Ride on, Anthony.

Well thanks to this thread I've learned he was comparable to Hitler. Not as a political figure of course, but as a murderer. Must have been a busy boy.

I don't see teen agers and hollywood idiots parading his image around as though they've acheived some sort of cultural "awakening."

When that happens - I'll correct them, too.

Oop, my mistake, I misread your original post. I didn't realize you were just instantly insulting anyone who didn't immediately kiss your extremist point of views ass.

Ghandi hit his wife too. Thomas Jefferson had slaves. Einstein was a poor father. The Beach Boys drugged a girl on the beach and had sex with her. Being directly responsible for the deaths of any number of innocent Iraqis, I'm a murderer too. Hitlers all around.

    Enjoy college, kid. Grow up.

I recommend googling "Che Mart." I actually just ordered a shirt from them the other day,

When in doubt, lean more. 95% of the time it will solve the problem; the other 5% of the time it'll end the suspense.

The only difference is that Hitler had his henchmen do his murdering. Che preferred to do them by his own hand. I read an account that he personally tortured and killed 16 of his prisoners, and took great pride in bragging about it.

I find it really interesting how Che's ride across South America inevitably influenced his political and idealogical view points. He was not all that politically involved before that trip, and meeting the many struggling people who were victims of businesses or corporations really had a profound effect on the next 20 years of his life.

I wonder how many other historical figures have been impacted so tremendously while on a bicycle.
