    Cats with Passion

Since we have dogs with passion I'm starting a cats version. I realize that some whiners are going to say there already is a cats thread, which is true but it didn't really look bike related, so here we go:

    <a href="http://s116.beta.photobucket.com/user/kurtisdiff/library/Gatos" target="_blank"><img src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o30/kurtisdiff/Gatos/Oliver.jpg" border="0" alt="Oliver &amp; the TRc"/></a>

    <a href="http://s116.beta.photobucket.com/user/kurtisdiff/library/Gatos" target="_blank"><img src="http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o30/kurtisdiff/Gatos/Sadie.jpg" border="0" alt="Sadie &amp; the 951"/></a>

Believe it or not I've always considered myself a dog person but I've been unable to have a dog since graduating college since I live in an apartment. A little less than a year ago the gf and I got tired of not having a pet so we got our first cat and little did we know how rewarding finding the right one could be. We now have two and they are always curious when I'm working on my bikes or come home with new smells from my ride.

I support this cat thread. I shall have to get a few pictures of my cats doing something with my bikes. Maybe take them on the trails with me, put a small cat helmet on them and let them ride. hat would be a blast. One of them would be riding on my shoulders the whole time.

You can't be a super moderator and love cats. It just isn't right. Next thing you'll be telling us that flat bars and 26" wheels are the wave of the future.

Teddy looks about as enthused with the winter trainer concept as I am

Grub (RIP) used to love to hang out in my workshop while I was working on my bikes. Here's why she prefers mail order:

But they all react the same way when it's time to ride:

Which is why, bike and cat lover that I am, I fear I must still question the legitimacy of a cat thread in the ride passion forum...

Heh, I recall on a road ride some years back I passed a little place way out in the middle of nowhere and there was a litter of kittens playing in the front yard. One of them saw me and tore off chasing me--I think he must've just seen the motion and had no idea how big or far away I was but he ran maybe 20 feet just full tilt through the lawn, grass up to his eyes straight after me. He was halfway up the yard and nowhere near me or the road, but if I was mouse sized I'd have been a mite concerned.

    Spokes

Walk into the local shop 3 weeks ago and see a kitten. Shop owner says the door was open and this cat was sitting there screaming and meowing. Offered some food and he came in. He said he would keep him til the owner's claimed him.
Three weeks and a Vet's health check later meet the "Shop Cat". Say hello to Spokes!

I have a Spokes too! She's no longer a kitten though... she's about 10 yrs old, but still bounces around from time to time.
