    Brianc's western fling (part 2)

Fling stop number two was Moab. After the brief drive from Fruita we had time enough to hit Bartlett wash before sundown, which was pretty much a big playground.

    These pictures are sweet.

I'm afraid to process mine. b/c they are total crap. I might salvage a few but man yours are good. Great job!

I wish we could ride like this every week.

    Full disclosure

As much as I love that 2nd pic, it's only fair I confess that I never did make that little rock step coming out of Jackass Cnyn, despite flailing on it several times. Great pics, Andy! Thanks for taking the time to snap & share.

He went over but was pretty much unscathed, very good rider despite what the picture suggests.

You'd better process those pix, I'm counting on some of those for wall art.

    Thanks Joe.

You almost made that move coming out of Jackass. And yeah, those pictures do no justice to the steepness of that pipe.

For precision's sake, that's not Jackass Canyon. Jackass Canyon is off the rightside cliff when you begin the Porcupine Singletrack. I've never heard a name assigned to the little side canyon near the end of Porc.

It was fun to ride with you all. Next time you're in town, let me know.

Gotcha. You all don't have a local name, like "that part of Porcupine that's really tough"? Thanks again for leading our Wednesday ride, Tim. It's cool of you to share, and I'll definitely get in touch next time I'm heading that way.

Really? I thought you had a name for every 100' of the trails out there!

BTW, I gotta get my pix going ...been too busy.

PS: Do you have a pic of your headbadge joe? I shoulda taken a snap of it.

PPS: and what is the name of that Bartlette part? I always thought it was the toilet bowl and can find no reference to it being called the drain pipe!

No, I'll try and get one up this weekend. Clay gave me a cd with a bunch of nice pics he took, including some good ones from Alien Run and Bartlett's. I'll try and send some of the better ones to you via email, and maybe post a couple here.

Nice shots, these are the types that gain photo sainthood.
Your bike can take you anywhere, anytime, over any terrain but, you have to force it to GK 2004. BB1, who started it?

You know I saw that badge for 5 days and told myself I need to get a picture of it...but never did.

There were two sections at Bartlett. One we called the toilet bowl. then to the south of that place (aroud and over the "high point") we found a shoot that was much narrrower and steeper that we called the Drain Pipe. I'm not sure if that the offical name but it sure fits.

I'm 70% done with my picture processing. maybe I'll be able to post when I return from NYC.

I can't wait to see yours. ( adn the one I took with you camera. -)

    PBR headbadge

As requested. I don't mean to pass this off as being original - just saw it done in another pic several months ago and thought it was more spanky than the lame sticker that came on the X-5. Sorry for the poor quality; with no flash, maybe I shoulda braced against something to hold the camera still.

Awesome Joe, You inspired me. I got some Dales pale Ale and am looking to see how well that will work on my Id.
