Man. I'd still be trying to muscle my way up onto that rock he flew over while he's at the bottom gettin' a drink.

Brian Lopes has crazy-mad skills at fast riding. He's to fast descending what that Danny Macaskil- guy is to trials.
They oughtta do a video together. That would be something to see.....

Watching him float up that rock, I'm thinking he doesn't abide by the laws of physics.

That is amazing to watch. Obviously he is incredibly talented. However is it safe to assume that he rides that same trail a LOT? Again, not saying that I could ride that trail like that if I rode it enough, just thinking about the combination of skill WITH trail familiarity. I mean could he ride a trail like that first time with the same smoothness? Maybe so, he is a uniquely skilled rider. Don't they pre-ride downhill, 4x, etc racecourses to learn the lines before racing them? Just thinking out loud.

Love watching how effortless it is for him to ride. I can only dream about riding with that level of smoothness and fluidity.

I thought that was pretty rad too, and he had nothing but compliments and stated he couldn't do it himself either, which says a lot about this rock.

To really appreciate the uphill rock that he seems to float right up and over you have to go and see in person. I have only seen a few people even try to ride up that and I have never seen anybody make it. I have tried probably 20 times and have never made it without a dab or two. All the other times I don't even come close. Nice one Flyin Brian!

Just curious, are there any videos out there of something that's too much for even him?? Where he crashes and burns (without serious injury, of course)?

Radio mic on bike is why it sounds so good.

Wish other 'mtb film makers' would get that. It's all about the sound. If you wanna make the audience actually feel like they are there, don't drop the freaking sound!

And don't fill the soundtrack with your stupid la-de-da hipster music either!

Great vid, Lopes rips. And he's 41! A great age.

I opened this tread to see the tires out to destroy Brian Lopes.

    Not disappointed, though.
