A Big Thank You From Ogre & Fiona

I think there were well over 300 people at the service, I was floored. From what I remember of the mountain biking community (In no particular order):

George, Fred and Kelly, Joseph & Jenny, Matt, John P., Mark R., and Linny

    MTBR & Briones Mafia:
Francois, Pimpbot, IMJPS, Finch Platte, Dan'ger, Zon, Bigtrees, Jilm

The Valley Springs/ New Melones Crew:
Rod O, Rob B, Rob W, Scott, Joe, Jerry, John G.

Also, others sent plants or cards but were not able to attend (or I didn't see):
Pete F., BigLarry, StrackMike (and Stephanie), Thomas TT. 8Track, Mike P, Steve B.

If I missed anyone I am truly sorry, we were a bit overwhelmed. Also a big thank you to everyone who has prayed for us and kepts us in their thoughts and posted here. I wish I had time to thank you all individually but it's just a bit much right now.

Don't know you or your family, but again, very sorry for your loss. Hope all else is well.

And a good thanks for all the locals that have been able to be there for you and yours.

    Small world

Like so many others, I have never met you, but have enjoyed your posts and pictures.

At times, the web can turn our huge planet into a small world. MTBR helps bridge these gaps by bringing riders together, whether it is running into another person on a trail who is wearing the MTBR jersey or passing a car on the interstate with the familiar wheel sticker on the window, or participating in one of the numerous gatherings that are organized each year. When people have common interests, a bond is started from the first introduction. Judging by the number of people who have written to you and your family, you have touched many lives, and have turned many of these bonds into friendships.

May these friends help ease your pain,
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas.

No, thank you for your courage and grace in the face of overwhelming tragedy. I don't know that I could have opened myself to others the way you have. My hat's off to you and again, please accept my condolences.
