It works, it really does! You can wear baggy shorts on a road bike.
This morning I go out to the laundry room to get some riding clothes for the commute to work and I find that I am all out of fresh spandex. All that's left are my baggies which of course you CANNOT wear on a road bike. Well, I did it anyway; baggy shorts, knickers underneath to keep my knees warm, an obnoxios puke green baggy jersey, and of course my fancy road shoes. I figured I would pass some skinny leg shaven roadie type on the way in and could elicit some interesting comments with my strange outfit but alas I saw no one. (Guess they were all out eating pie - maybe I should go post this over on the roadie forum) Perhaps on the way home I will find a roadie to toy with. I will probably get droped hard doing some stop light drag racing but it'll still be fun.
XTRKona. All that's left are my baggies which of course you CANNOT wear on a road bike. Well said:
I won't even bag on that puke green jersey of yours (that does match your glasses), or even that you wore baggies on a road bike. But you wore knickers under your baggies...

baggies on a road bike are ok, as long as the colors complement the frame appropriately. Too slack of baggies make your frame look too big and fat. Baggies should slender your frame. Pick the right color and length, and your frame will look SEXXXAY!
