    Any affordable 4-bike carriers?

Hi - new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone has found an affordable 4-bike carrier? I need to mount it into a 2" Curt hitch and hopefully still allow me to open my lift gate. So telescoping would be cool...

BTW I'm a throwback with a late 90's Cannondale Super V. Still works great!

With that V frame, you'll need a wheel-mount carrier. I think 1up is the only one worth considering.

Thanks for reply. I'm not sure I saw a 4-bike carrier on the 1upusa site. Seems to be singles and doubles.

    Define affordable.

I have a swagman unit that is a 2+2 that was $529 Canadian from mec (which is our equivalent to rei)

West cost racks has a different concept for about$650 or so.

Keats are almost $1,000 here in Canada - I think

Thanks. Not sure if the Swag model can allow me to open the lift gate… Under $500 I guess is my idea of affordable...

I came across this while searching the internet:

    V4 Teleporter 4-Bike Telescoping Hitch Rack|VeeMe| Let's Go Aero

Seems like it fits the bill... Anyone heard of them? Bought one?

A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones.

Thanks but I don't think it telescopes out for the lift gate to open. It just seems a pain to always take the bikes off to open the lift gate and get a suitcase out or something...

It seems there is a carter pin to pull out so the bikes would lean away if you were needing to pull it away from the back hatch, trunk or tailgate. But maybe it just would not be enough to drop the tailgate fully. I totally understand, but I never been a fan of top-tube mounting bike transporters, but you just said *cheap* .
