    2014 Specialized Camber 29 - First Dirt!

Took the new 2014 Specialized Camber 29 for her first dirt last Friday. Was an interesting ride - first time riding a 29er and was a fun ride - going to take some getting used to - legs were sore as heck for a couple days after this ride but it was worth it.

I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

Cool vid. I bet it took all day to shoot lol. Set the camera, go back, record the ride by, then go back again to collect the camera

Took about 3 1/2 hours to do the ride/vids. Took off early Friday from work to get the ride in before the rains came in Saturday and muddied the trails.

Got a Garmin 200 for the bike - nice wireless bike computer but have to remember to end the ride when I am done or the trip home by vehicle gets recorded on the ride.

How am I the only person mentioning how terrible that song was...? Nice bike, nice video, but an AWFUL song choice for it.

You're a more patient man than me, to make a vid like that. I'm doing good if I take my cell out of my pocket 1 or 2 times during the ride to snap a pic of something cool before continuing on. Especially with that shiny new bike? Not happening here.

Trying to put music on the vids that youtube doesn't get contakerous over isn't the best quality. There are tons of horrible free music out there - takes more time sifting through music than it does actually putting the video together. Sometimes just have to pick one out of the hat.

I know tons of awesome music though - but they are copyrighted and don't want to take a chance of getting yanked.

Cool vid, dig the classic white tube sock steeze too!

I want to get out there and make a vid too, it's just hard for me to stop when I'm enjoying the ride.

Yes. In the vid I used a Sony DSC-HX9V and a GoPro Hero 2. I use Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to edit.

How easy is that program to use to edit? I have tried some other free ones & they are not user friendly at all.

Not that hard, there is a little bit of a learning curve to it but won't take you long to figure it out. I was using Windows Movie Maker back in the XP days before I went to Adobe. I am happy with the program.

Cool video. How is the Suntour fork?
I would recommend RockShox Revelation 29 as a replacement.

The Suntour works for the trails in the Kansas City area - but the RockShox on the Trek feel better though. I figure I will just ride it until it breaks or has issues then upgrade it.,
