    2013 - It was a good year

Nearing the end of 2013, I think back, "Did I do anything significant this year?" Well, not in the big scheme of things. I've certainly had years with more miles, more podiums, etc. But, it was a d@mn good year. I'm blessed with great friends, great family, and I live in a beautiful place to ride. I have a terrible memory, thankfully I have pictures to remind me of the good times...

I love waking up to this view...
    A day to ride

Early season, gotta take advantage of the fatties
    Snow ride in the preserver

Braving the early season conditions on the Falcon Trail
Mark and Chris on Falcon Trail

Riding with my good buddy, Tess
    Snow ride with Tess

Enjoying the local classic, Limbaugh Canyon, with friends
Chris, Jon, Lauren, and Ryan in Limbaugh Canyon

Carving obscure local trails where you rarely see another rider
Quinn and Jeff on Log Machine

Winning yet another 24 hour title with good friends and my awesome wife
    Conquering 24 Hours of Erock

Enjoying beautiful views on the ride home from work with my boss and good friend, Rick
Ride to work view near Larkspur

Travelling to far off places and sneaking in a ride or two
Lianne and Linda in Northern Ontario

Passing along the joy of riding to family
Tess, Marley, Lauren, and Jenna at Monument Rock

Riding in remote and beautiful places with friends
    Brad on Ring the Peak

Seeing my Dad and Uncle Ray accomplish the lifetime achievement of riding across the USA
Dad, Mom, Melinda, and Ray after crossing the USA by bike

    Surviving big rides
Dave nearly finished with Ring the Peak

Getting out into the backcountry during prime season
Jeff riding the Log Machine meadows

Taking advantage of the light, warmth, and colors while they are still there
Tirpak above the glorious fall colors in the Preserve

Introducing new friends to new places and old friends
Chris and Bryan on Spruce Mtn

Making sure to get in those character building rides
    Night ride on Baker's Acres

Immersing myself in the local landscape
    Snow ride in the Preserve

Here's to another good year of riding and living
    Cheers to another good year

Excellent post! Unfortunately, the title introduced an ear bug of Frank Sinatra's It Was a Very Good Year song.

Really love the "Passing along the joy of riding to family" As a dad of four daughters, my favorite rides are with them. Watching them growing and becoming stronger riders is awesome. Great pics. thanks for sharing.

Thanks. It is really neat to see the kids improve and enjoy themselves on the trails.

I've been pondering plans for 2014...Kokopelli Trail, another 24 hour team race, maybe another big solo, and hopefully another race in the Colorado Endurance Series. Good times ahead.
