... and if we just ... 1st annual avatar awards

I spend a good bit of my employer's time here on this site as do most of us.
Aside from all the helpful advice, cool pics, flame wars, Bullit bashing, and humorous stories that entertain us, it is the avatar that also keeps us coming back for more. I feel it is an overlooked piece of the story. So I would like to recognize those who have gone the extra mile.
    So here they are:
    Honorable mention:
Finch Platte-diving in front of a car. Sweet.
(Tom)- picture of the white afro'ed Bob Ross. Happy little trees, tom.
Nate N- The pimp. Love the hat, huggy bear would be proud. Extra credit for his very random signature, (leave me alone, I'm playing Bocce ball". WHo the hell plays bocce ball?! Good times......
Gnar- for his Quagmire pic. Again, loving the Family Guy. "Hello 911? Yeah, it's stuck in a window this time."

There is one that I see all the time, I think it may be Pete but it's grease shooting out of a botton bracket I think. It's gross and I couldn't love it more.

    5th place:
    The weasel
Twiggy from Buck Rogers. Classic, phallyic, love it.
    4th place:
    Damion
Stick figure getting eaten by a stick dog. Clever, animated, I still wonder if he'll ever get away.
    3rd place:
    JN Carpenter
    Kissing baby. Kinda creepy.
    2nd place:
    Banshee Rider
Peter Griffin holding his shin and and saying ouch. Love the Family Guy, love that episode.

    And first place:
Zedro. For the twirling bi polar smiley face. Love it.

There you have it. Sorry for those who feel slighted, try harder and I'll see you next year.

    JimC,

Sorry, I do like the bear, but I've seen it before. The titus and the bullit can stay in your house (I'm sure you're relieved). It's all about harmony.
And Namesste? I love the sig! Right you are Ken. Love it. I'm surprised no one has the handle of Guy LeDouche yet.

JimC, post that pic of the red bullit, I'll make it my wallpaper. I still kinda want a bullit.

    I'll be your old guy

roll model (apparently I'm sposta be 57). FWIW, been thru the factory in Tempe, but Bullits seem to work better here on the Norshore. My wife loves her Loco, it's been a real hit for her.

At the risk of serious flaming and guffawing, here's my pic which I've posted a lot. That happens when you've only got one.

    No, No, No..........

That's a good list but you missed the Mac Daddy of all avatars. I don't remember the persons handle but the avatar is a purple dinosaur/ hippo thing rocking around doing a spanking motion. It's a classic.

"I'd like to thank the Academy" But with so many good original avatars out there, I feel I am not worthy.
BTW - that's not Twiggy, it's really me. I swear it.

Even though I have an avatar, I'm closer every day to disabling both avatars and sigs. Theoretically both could enhance the forum browsing experience, but many of them annoy instead. Primarily huge font sigs and overly-animated avatars.

    Thank you, Thank you.

I do have to credit my wife, Rebecca, for finding this Avatar for me. Thanks, I will be willing to vote as part of a team for next year.
