You will find him. No doubt. Those who know the trails, know that section. Most of us ride these trails enough, that we almost have a video memory of every little bump, corner, etc.... This game is fun!

Lots of variety out here! Even in the Phil's triangle there are all sorts of options. Especially when you begin to ride across the network and then tie the trails together. Infinite possibilities.

So what's the common understanding of where the Phil's triangle area ends on the western edge? SK? Upper whoops? Or do you think of everything from Rd 370 to Phil's trailhead to be in?

And, yeah, it's a good game, especially for those of us still exploring some of these trails for the 1st time. Never been on Flagline until this year, for example.

Look at how many tracks there are. Looks like maybe something super common like Whoops or something. Crap, though, too much light.... I'm lost...

I think of "Phils Triangle" as being the area encompassed by Skyliner Road to the north, forest service road 300 to the West, and Century Drive to the south, but I don't think there is any official definition.

Also take a look at the type of foliage. The trees are kind of dry and scraggly, and there is the manzanita brush on the ground. You don't find that type of flora at higher elevations. That consistency of dirt isn't found higher up either.

Nice work, Willem! When you first posted the pics my initial reaction was, "those suck" but now I think it was a good spot.

Darnit, I'm still at work! I wonder if I can get up to where Ithink it is this evening?

I'm going to go explore some north/south trails I always skip in the morning before work

This game is making me try new trails, I'm like whoops whoops whoops, lair, whoops, upper whoops, whoops.. that's like all I do. The manzinita reminds me of upper whoops, phils from the helipad, or some of kents. But those are all wrong so.. I dunno where the yellow punk is.

    On the Move

Yellowman has found a new place to enjoy. It's by the water and has a great view. Location Location as they say in the real Estate biz.

No rule breaking this time as I didn't want kill Shiggys buzz.

MTB aka Mike's, in between Kent's and Ben's.

Edit: Regarding the handlebars, they're Jones Original H-Bars. It's kind of a singlespeed thing I guess. I like them alright but the backsweep is a little more than I like. That's my wife's bike I was on tonight. My bike is the blue one pictured earlier in this thread with Groovy Luv Handles.

Are will still on this location? Bottom of South Fork before it reaches Tumalo Creek? (I'll have no chance to czech it out for a few days)

We were resolving Willem's spot. Regarding the current "water with a great view", I think it is not S.F, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Nat. I have another location in mind for next time. Something with more rock features. Fun to challenge everyone. I ride MTB trail quite often.

    Hiding well

My best "guess" is SF between the footbridge and Tumalo??
    Wrong

    Hint

Fork in the trail...Not South Fork.
Think Czech and stay down low.
Phil himself was instrumental the development of the trail

I was thinking Shevlin Park, on the southeast side of the loop, where it heads back down to the creek.

That last spot was a bit tricky. This next spot should be easier so more people can get a crack at it. I wanted to go up higher (like to Met/Win or something) but I ran out of time and didn't want to violate rule #2.

Cool, cool. Can't wait to see it!

Everyone try to keep in mind rule #3:
Yellowman should be easily found by anyone who knows where to look for him (i.e., the object is not to make him impossible to find)

I have already gotten in my ride for the day, and already gotten in one night ride this. Settling in for a movie now.

As soon as I can locate that little guy, I am going to ride him up to Duodenum so he can help us build some new trail.

Hmmm ... stumped I'm afraid. Nat, is that the trail that snakes up the left side of the photo? I like it, although it looks like the kind of trail that has reduced my 42 tooth chain ring to a 38.

Also stumped. I thought it might be farewell, but I just rode down that today and don't remember any rocks slabs like that But looks like something I want to ride down

So I did do some new trails( to me ) though this weekend, saturday did flagline, today did northfork/farewell loop.

Maybe I will be able to recognize more things now when yellow man moves.

Tabernac! I rode right by the little guy on Sunday, but had not connected the dots, as it were. If I can get to him first this afternoon, he'll be heading to higher elevation. He needs to get out of the dust for a while.

    Fail

If someone doesn't get him today I'm going to go get him and put him in captivity again. You know sitting by the fireplace, taking a sauna, a massage and out for a beer. Who knows he may meet a Yellowgirl at 10 barrel and run off.
