Where to Ride? Southern Oregon - Grants Pass Area

    Hello there,
I am going to be visiting some family next weekend in Grants Pass area (my moms lives in Colonial Valley). I just got my rental for the trip and it has a hitch so I will be bringing my bike with me.

Any good resources for Rides in this area? Trail Maps, etc?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Cathedral Hills is a great place to start. Not major but some fun trails 5 minutes out of town. Taylor Creek Trail, near Galice, is awesome, and is the centerpiece of a pretty big trail network.

Here are a couple of starter-links:

Only 2.5 hours to Oakridge. Depending on how long you're staying, it's worth a trip to ride the ATC - Alpine, Tire Mtn, Cloverpatch. Alpine was super fun but Tire Mountain was propbably my favorite single trails of all time. The Alpine Trail has a section named "Jedi" and the forest is similar to that seen in the Ewok fight scenes from the Star Wars movies. Being from the drier SoCal area, these trails were so grippy, so loamy that they almost defied realism. They were that good!!

I won't have time for Oakridge. I heard that Ashland Ski Resort does shuttle runs, but I also do not have time for that.

Rode Cathedral Hills on Thursday, was in the 90's and kinda muggy but cooled off later. Did a few trips to the top and tried out Bridges Twice, K and L trails but did not get a run on Manzanita Tunnels.

Heading to Taylor Creek this afternoon.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.

Got some nasty Poison Oak, but had a good time.
