Trails in late may / early June?

The wife and I are contemplating a road trip to Whistler (this allows us to bring our own bikes ). From looking at the threads, it seems like that time period is a bit too early for places like Waldo Lake.

Most likely we will either be renting something we can sleep in (RV/etc) or moteling it. I was considering a day in Oregon (Oak Ridge area) to ride. But is that too early in the season? Recommendations in/around there? Ashland or up near Portland are other options.

Chances are there will still be snow above 4k ft around Oakridge. All of the river trails will be open and/or you can put in on the downhill trails at an access point and ride from snow level down. You'll still have nearly 200 miles of single track to ride in the oakridge area. Include the NUT and MRT and you'll have over 200 miles of singletrack.

Willamette Mountain Mercantile is your goto bikeshop in Oakridge plus up to the second trail conditions.

That's how we roll between Nov-June.

I am a Mountain Biker therefore I am late
