    Three Creeks Lake-Sisters

Looks like we are taking a camp trip this weekend to Three Creeks Lake. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good MTB ride. 15-20mi intermediate?

To get to Three Creeks Lake you go right past the Peterson Ridge bike network, on which you can make 15-20 miles from any number of route options. They usually have a box of maps at the trailhead.

    Update on your ride

I've been asking around trying to find out the trail conditions of Metolius Windigo and Peterson Ridge. I've heard that alot of trails are all trashed from the horse riding. I was hoping to ride from Tumalo Falls to Peterson Ridge. So any update you can give on that area after your trip would be cool.

Seriously not one of the better rides in the area. Go just to say you did it, but you won't find me doing it again any time soon.

    Clarification:
Happy Valley to Three Creeks sucks. Three Creeks to P-Ridge is awesome.

Newberry is more enjoyable. That should tell you something about Met/Win "over-the-top."

Sorry, I made a clarification above after I posted. Happy Valley to Three Creeks sucks. Three Creeks to P-Ridge is awesome. It has long but occasionally primitive descents with spectacular views.

    Here's an old ride report:

Just got back from camping at three creeks lake. I attempted to ride the MW trail to the peterson ridge area but aborted ride after 20 minutes of pedaling through some very soft trail conditions. Horse traffic was heavy.
