    Surveyor’s Ridge Trail Re-Route

Sounds like there has been some type of re-route on Surveyors. Does anyone have more detail on this? I plan on riding that trail on on 10/16 and want to be prepared.

    Thanks,

    Ty

It was still open yesterday. I will miss this section. Not too excited about a parking lot, or the impending disaster that is in store for Dog River. No trees equal no loam. You can bank and berm all you want, but when the surface has no canopy the experience is nowhere near as good. It was weird to ride that section knowing it will be gone. Easily some of the better soil in the area. I prefer to park off Hwy 35, so a new parking lot will serve zero purpose for me. I really "took it all in" yesterday. Thankful for that...maybe 2-3 more trips before the snow.

So ended up riding on the 15th. Didn't see any re-route and rode exactly like I have in the past. Must have missed it.

This will be a great thing. Not going to miss that moon-dusty double track section in the summer. And any time an old double track section gets replaced with real, live single track is a good time, in my book.

I think that it is the section beginning at the upper TH off of Rd.44. So, that is really fun, tree canopied ST. Combined with the impending harvest around Dog River things are going to "change" up there.
