Sandy Ridge Super D - This Weekend

You don't want to miss the Oregon Super D Series finale this Sunday at the Sandy Ridge trail system. This is truly one of the most ideal Super D courses and best built trail network on the west coast. Also part of the series is a mountain bike festival at Windells, with a Slopestyle on Saturday and Super D racing and celebration on Sunday. Food from Pizzicato and beer from Double Mountain will be provided all day on Sunday. Camping and lodging is also available, so plan on Windells being your base-camp for the weekend. See ya out there!!!

    Expect carnage

The trail is going to catch some poor souls and launch them into orbit right on the rocks. It should be fun to watch The trails are in great shape right now...as I rode them today.

No question! Sounds like a great event and a better ride for the Banshee team.

Killer race today. A good, fun, balanced course. It had a good mix of everything. Incredibly well built trail. Thanks a lot to everyone that has made that happen. Thanks to the Oregon Super D promoter(s). Hope to see the series thrive and grow!

Thanks Matt and for stopping in to take some pics and chill at the race/event!

Jay, you missed a good one, but doesn't compare to the awe of strolling the beach with your loved one. Rippin' great trails with a bunch of good riders at a great event is so overated.

OT, riding tomorrow, east Hood, Post, or Cold Creek dependent upon time alotted if your down.

Took the wife, Golden, and mo and law and strolled on the beach among the hoards of people. A little fence building in the early am followed by some pm riding...I am going to ride at least four hours tomorrow. My biggest decision will be Blur LT or RIP 9.

You are far too humble. There are some great pics in there.

    Congrats JG!

Thanks Rob and thanks Matt for taking all the pics!

Looks like I am in pic #176 coming off the rock drop at the start of the race (plate #340 on black Banshee bike).

Thanks Squatch, how was St. Helens/Smith Cr yesterday? Did you make it up there for the ride and did you do the whole loop? I still haven't came down through Smith Creek yet and curious to how the conditions were?

St Helens was hidden in the clouds. I ended up doing the standard Ape Canyon out to Windy Ridge and back. I got there late (missed the turn for lava canyon and ended up 20 miles down Hwy 90 before I figured it out) and so the NWTA group was long gone. The conditions on Ape Canyon were phenomenal, and the pumice on the Plains was dust free.

Holy smokes those are some sweet photos. Nice work mattsavage!

How are the conditions up @ Sandy Ridge? I'm thinking of hitting it up on Sunday morning.
