Anybody know what the status is on Sandy ridge during the shut down since it is on BLM land? The BLM website says recreational facilities and camgrounds will be closed.
I read elsewhere that BLM and the Forest service would be shutting down boat ramps and parking areas/restrooms but that lands and trails would essentially remain open since it isnt feasible to block access to public lands.
I would like to head up there, but dont really feel like driving 5 hours round trip for nothing, or worse getting a hefty fine for parking in a closed lot since enforcement isnt shut down.
I cant even find a phone number for a local BLM contact (probably not working anyway) since all their web pages are shut down and redirect to their main page on the shut down.
So...anybody know if it is business as usual at Sandy?
