Salem Area Trail Alliance (SATA) Just wanted to get the word out about the Salem Area Trail Alliance a group dedicated to building trails in and around Salem. We have had some great help and support from local and national groups: thanks Bike Peddler, Scott's & Santiam along with Specialized & IMBA for their support as well as many others (like Venti's!).

We are having a IMBA Trail Care Crew visit on October 14th & 15th. On Friday the 15th IMBA is giving a "Better Living Through Trails" presentation to local governmental representatives as well as the public. It is at 5:00 pm at the West Salem Library. That will be followed by a social at the new Ventis Cafe & Taphouse at 7:15pm. Saturday is all about trailbuilding (you don't have to attend Friday to make it to Saturday). It starts at with a classroom session from 9:00-12:00 at Willamette University, Mudd Building Room 204. Then there will be lunch provided as we make our way out to Spring Valley Park in West Salem where we will be working on our first new single track trails. You can sign up on the IMBA site:

This is your chance to be a part of getting great new single track trails for all ability levels. The goal is to build a continuous trail system along the Willamette - the Salem Greenway Trail (SGT). We are starting with the Spring Valley Trail and hope to have your support.
