This ride report is a week late due to the computer being in another country. Please excuse the tardiness.
We took our annual fall vacation this year and headed out to Winnipeg, Manitoba first, then as soon as we got back jumped in the car and headed straight for La Grande.
First ride we did was Mt. Emily's "Skills" trail. This is a real fun area to ride. Unfortunately we took mostly video, but here is a pic of downed tree.
Then the next day we headed over to Mt. Fanny and area. What a blast this turned out to be! The trail starts off kinda powder-ish like, then goes back and forth between roots, doubletrack, and then some technical stuff, for a rigid bike like me.
Actually, I got rides reversed here, we did the Morgan Lake Road up to almost the top of the plateau above La Grande, then the next day did Mt Fanny. Morgan Lake Rd. is steep and a great consistent ride. The DH is old school fire road type, lots of speed and mostly off camber through the turns, so its easy to lay it over! Now onto round two.
