    Ride Report - O'Leary Trail

Here's a trip report of our recent ride on the O'Leary Trail. Thanks to all the folks that have done some great work to revive this under-appreciated piece of singletrack. In it's current state it's a great adventure ride and a real workout, with more traffic (breaking it in) I believe it could become one of the local classics.

We were told the next time we're in the area to ride King's Castle. Your trip sounds like our type of riding adventure! Thanks for posting.

Could be one of my favorite decents, hard to explain what exactly is but with the gradiant and having good sight lines, just seems to be able to really open it up. Also, not to bad to do as an out and back as well if you have the time.

Do you mean King Castle? O'Leary is a whole different type of trail.

KC is fast but I wish it had some grade changes to make it more rollercoasterish.

Thanks for the plug. O'Leary is a project I started and got LOTS of help with. I'm not sure we will get another work party up there this fall, but stay tuned for next spring announcements! The USFS is on board with our reclamation too. They are talking about putting a crew on it next year and will reclaim upper Olallie and Horsepasture as well.

Great trail! Go ride it before the snow flies. It tops out at 5k.
