Looks like an 80% chance of red x-es. I was rather hoping for a greater degree of randomness.

    Plural was intentional.
Here's my fav photo of Eugene from Oakridge:

I don't mean you can see Eugene from Oakridge, I mean... oh, never mind.
Anyway don't rush the whole random photos process... quality takes time, you know. Feel free to add any pix of your own. This wasn't intended to be a one-person thread.

I took the photo from the April 2007 BOB trip from Sisters to Bend that included Jerry, Jill, Justin, Chris, Katy and yours truly.

Here's another photo by Sasquatch, taken July 16, 2004. Don't know the rider but the singletrack is the Alpine Trail. Now THAT'S what I call a cliff shot. Diamond Peak in the upper left, Hills Creek Lake nestled in the valley in the center of the photo.

Thanks for adding your random pix, fellers!

Here's a picture of me riding one of my "other" bikes.

Not really. Mine is blue and it's a Triumph, not a Ducati. Anyway I like this photo because it inspires me. Isn't traction an amazing thing?

We got the joke, it's just that Cazloco has a very dry sense f humor, so we can rarely tell whether he's joking, or being a prick!! Since yer in Texas, I doubt you'll ever come out and ride with us, but I'll extend the invite in case you have frequent flier miles to burn. And by the way, what's up with name Fatbob, I was disappointed to see that you're not fat at all. False Advertising Alert!!

Thanks for visiting our little forum, now come out and experience Oregon at it's finest with the Disciples of Dirt!!

Actually I agree with Caz. Not fond of outsiders dropping in seemingly just to comment on our womenfolk. Kind of creepy.

I gotcha... rainy area, dry humor. Kinda like the UK... I get funny.

On a serious note, thanks for the invite, some of the Alamo's finest have been talking about making the journey out for one of your great venues. Two of us might just make it to BC this spring if the offer is still on the table.

Uh... I'd say 5'6" & 190 = FB, but to give you more of the story, used to wrestle in HS & College @ 126#'s lean & mean (that was a long time ago though and work, wife, kid & beer have turned me into a bit of a big boy. Oh well....I guess compared to most SA folks I'm probably not too fat.

Shiggy, we agree on most things, didn't mean to be a creep, thought the whole BOB (bike on back) and the subtle innuendo was kinda my attempt at being clever. FWIW, I'm very happily married with a cute little girl @ home, being an online weirdo is easier than one thinks. Besides, I'm an equal opportunity d!ck, afterall I did say the skinny guy should eat something.

Didn't mean to be a stalker, I visit the OR board more often than the TX board. Had a job opportunity about a year ago in Bend, but the wife wasn't ready to move again, so TX it is for at least another year. If my spring trip is 1% as good as all the pix you guys post, you may just have a local creep to deal with

No, actually I wasn't trying to be funny. What I was saying is that I think FatBob is shallow and he should stay out of this forum. I also think he should at least apologize if he's going to stick around.

Even if this guy was trying to be funny (and I'm sure he was) an appology would be in order. Equal opportunity? A random dick to two strangers? Two appologies then perhaps.

Anyway, Fatso: come on over and ride. I'm sure you are a decent guy and just tried to make a joke that you, now, wished you had not made. I'm glad you are not doing the "typical" e-tard tough guy thing. That is refreshing.

    Brock...

    PS: 5'6" @ 190? Ha, ha, ha...tiny fecker...

In an effort to extend the olive branch, please do accept my apologies if what was said offended you. Again, it was meant to be light hearted not a vicious attack on women or skinny men. I suppose if I had looked at it from the inner circle's point of view rather than the open forum mentality it may have never been said. I too would take it poorly if someone made a creepy comment about my wife, significant other, sister, etc. Please move on with your lives, I'll continue to lurk and enjoy the great pix that are so often present on this board & if the invitation to ride is still there, I'd love to make it up when I come visit.

Come visit TX if you need a change this winter, not nearly as scenic as OR, but fun to be had none the less.

Way to stand up FB. Yes, you are welcome to join us in the spring. An especially nice peace offering, besides the much appreciated apology, might be a nice tall bottle of Vitamin T. Seems to be a popular beverage at the blazing campfire.

I'm in whenever, except when it's really wet. Cold doesn't bother me, but I prefer mostly dry conditions. I usually log about 6-8k miles year, but with all that I'm not terribly familiar with Eugene area twisties.

PM me next time you're heading out and I'll slab it down (I'm in Salem) so you can show me the goods...

Deal. FWIW I am a fair weather rider. I like dry, sticky asphalt and prefer warm weather. So it might be a while... but I'll do my best to get in touch with you when an opportunity presents itself.

I'm in Creswell. My 1/2 mile gravel driveway turns to mud in wintertime, so I've taken insurance off my bike and parked her in the garage -- probably until late next spring. Bummer to think of not riding for 6 months...

But don't buy anything before test riding Rider Magazine's 2007 Bike of the Year: the Triumph Tiger. It's perfect for the bigger rider plus it's got that awesome Triumph triple engine. Not that there's anything wrong with a Duc... Whatever. Just get something and let's go!

almost got one a while back, I was having an identity crisis and couldn't really decide what bike I needed to be riding. So I just stuck with the SV (glad I did). The Duc is a great bike for back road piloting in Oregon. Also, in that price range and a bit better bad/off roader is the Buell Ulysses, might give it a look. Wishing I still had my Buell (tuber X1).

I guess we'll end up doing an mtbr/Oregon/motorcycle ride!

    Time for more random shots

Here's Lassen Peak in August '05. I took this shot on the way home from Lake Tahoe.

That creek had the clearest water in the world.

Another pic. Story behind this one: although I've climbed Saddleblanket Lookout dozens of times, I'd always gone up the interior wooden spiral staircase... except for once. Well this day, when I told the bozos I was riding with that I'd climbed the exterior metal ladder one time, they didn't believe me. So I did it again. Here's proof that I've done it AT LEAST once. By the way, it's a little scarier than it looks. Half the bolts holding the ladder on are missing.

Who took this photo, anyway? Sasq, was it you?

I suspect that may have been Sas's shot, but here's another of you that day on the outside, taken from inside.

Edit: If I recall correctly the Forest Service has removed the ladders and stairs from that lookout, though I didn't get there this year to verify that.

I heard the same thing. What a shame... end of an era. I always looked forward to climbing into that little box for the awesome view.

That said, in recent years I got nervous every time I clumb it.

This is the famous "Trail" photo by Sasquatch that recently brought over $1,000,000 at a famous international art auction.

Here's some of the photos I've taken in Oregon for your enjoyment. The first 2 pictures are from Brown's Camp in the Tillamook Forrest. The next 3 pictures are from the beach and the path leading up to the beach.
