    Photochromatic Lens

Anyone else use photochromatic lenses ? I have been using TIFOSI optics for a few months now. Really light weight with adjustable nose & ear pieces. Kind of a crappy video, but wanted to share what I use.

Never used them. I've been wary on how adaptable they are at speed and at dusk.

I think those are what they call the Night Rider lens (or something similar). If so, I've got a pair, and they are really good for mtb, since at their darkest, they still only block around 50% of visible light, which is a lot brighter than most tinted lenses.

When people ask for advice on going faster on mtbs, my first tip is often to "get ride of your dark glasses that block 95% of visible light".

Not exactly sure why this is in the Oregon forum, but that's my two cents.

The Tifosi Light Night Fototec lense has a huge range. 27.7% to 75.9% light transmission.

Yeah, those are the exact numbers. I guess what sold me is the fact that at their darkest, they allow nearly twice the light through that many other phototec lenses do, which is a big plus for me in the woods. For example, my Phototec Red lenses are WAY too dark for that use (but great on the road, or somewhere more open, like Moab.
