    Peteson Ridge?

Does anyone know if Peterson Ridge happens to be open yet?

NO WAY! Go ride Maston, Horse Ridge, Horse Butte, or the Radlands in Redmond. Probably super muddy, way too soft, and snowy. You can permanently damage the trails by riding them.

Does anyone have any actual hard data on this? We've been in a bit of a dry spell, and now we've had some nice temps. Plus, much of that trail is lower elevation than Bend.

I tried calling Blazin Saddles a few times today but the line is always busy (they're probably being asked the same thing).

My gut still says no way. Maybe the lower section? Why would you even try when Maston and Horse Butte are rockin!!!!

Need pic of this CO mud

Please someone post a few photos of this central OR mud. I cannot picture it at all. I want to see what is so nasty about it. There is nothing but slimy mud all over on the west side and everyone seems to actually enjoy it. How come it is so bad over there in a place that gets no rain? (freeze-thaw??) I really want to see this mud!! Don't make me drive over there, please post a photo!

I did end up reaching Blazin Saddles.

The word is that the signs have been removed from lower sections, and it's running fine. The higher sections are still a bit soggy, with some snow patches on shaded areas up high.

    Much better than expected!

Next week, when the rains return, come on over and hike the north side of Smith Rock (the new Summit Loop); the mud literally sucks the boots right off of your feet!
