    Oakridge Trail Work party

Calling all Orgonians, The DOD is planning our first higher season trail work day of the year and we need your help. Our trails are in need of your help, from brushing, debris removal, tread work and the good old chainsaw (only if you are certified) are all needed.

    The Date: March 25th (Saturday)
The Time: 9:30AM (if you plan on breakfast be there by 8am)
The Location: The Trail Head Café
The Trails: Everything we can get to.

We need everyone possible to make a big dent in our early season riding zones.

There is a limited amount of Free Beer being offered up for those of Age at the Trailhead Cafe, compliments of Oakridge's MT. Bike Oregon.

If you need more information feel free to PM me or post back to the board.

Count me IN. I know many other members of Eugene's Disciples of Dirt MBC will be on hand to work the trails and enjoy the good feeling that comes along with it, but the Oakridge area isn't ours exclusively. There are too many miles of heavenly singletrack in the Oakie Zone for DOD's dedicated, hard working trail lovers to clear by themselves. Whether you live in Bend, Corvallis, Salem, Portland, Yoncalla, Reedsport, Medford, Prineville, LaGrande or wherever, y'all come! Especially Reedsport!

See you at the Trailhead Coffee House in Oakridge at 9:30am on Saturday, March 25!

...with shovels at the ready. I call the job shown in the first picture: stand around and watch other people work...it's my specialty actually (just kidding, sort of). Is anyone planning on bringing bikes to ride, post work? Not to be too practical here but...carpool anyone, anyone, Bueller?

    Kraig...
Are the wheels roundish? Ride it.

Disciples Of Dirt, come ride with us.

    Ready to go...

Should be a good day on the trails. Tread and brushing tools are ready. Prime riding season is just around the corner so let's all get out there and put the shine on our SWEET Singletrack around Oakridge. I'm thinking of bringing the bike for a short spin afterwards, although I may just work all day since I'm there with tools.

    I'll do my best

    To make it...
I may have to work, so I may not do the Mudslinger either.
Don't worry, you guys will get work out of me for showing me so many sweet trails.

    Work responsibilities

    Got inventory this weekend.
I plan on being in the area the following weekend (attending the Oregon Bicycling Summit).

I am eager to lend a hand wherever I can. I usually work Saturdays however. With the winter we had I'm sure there is plenty of work to go around. If there's anything happening on Sunday 4/2, I'm there. I'll be looking to probably squeeze in a ride (or two) on that Sunday and/or Monday as well.
    Thanks,
    Charlie
