    Oakridge Camping

Any ideas for camping with our pop up trailer in Oakridge during mid-September?

We'd prefer to be near town, since we enjoy the Trailhead Cafe and the local Mexican Restaurant. Water and power hook ups are nice, too.

    Thanks!

There's a couple RV parks if you really need hookups, There's one right across the highway from Greenwaters then there's Caseys RV park in Westfir. If you just want forest service campgrounds (no hookups, pump water, pit toilets) The closest to town is Salmon Creek, its about 5 miles out of town and there's singletrack leading from the campground into town.

Thanks! I had completely forgotten about Salmon Creek camping. Are you sure it is still open in mid to late September? Whenever we head out to the bottom of the Middle Fork Trail, that campground is always closed by then.

Salmon creek is a different drainage than Middle fork. The closest campground out that direction (Towards Middle Fork) is just past the dam but I've never paid much attention to it. Salmon Creek is open till Sept 14th.
