Having grown up in Portland and being a part of the growth of the bike culture, there was a time when I shared that Oregonian ideal first uttered by Governor Tom McCall:
Come visit us again and again. This is a state of excitement. But for heaven's sake, don't move here to live.
I have a different take when it comes to cyclists: the more the better. To see this kind of positive exposure in such a widely distributed and reputed publication is good news for the movement to brand Portland as Bike City North America. It will serve to extend the momentum.

Thanks for sharing this - Killer! How cool will it be to see a story like this about Portland that has both cycling and urban singletrack in the future?
