    North Umpqua Trail?

How early in the year does the NUT typically open up?
I only ride bikes to fill the time when I'm not skiing.

I assume you're asking about Dread & Terror, since the lower sections are open pretty much year round. It's usually open by Memorial Day, but it can be anywhere from April to early June.

Yes, mainly the higher Dread and Terror section.

A friend and I are talking about climbing and skiing either Thielson or Bailey then riding the full length of the NUT then floating to the ocean on the Umpqua. It'll be tough timing the trip for enough snow to ski and enough bare ground to ride.

As far as I know, this could be the only place in the PNW that one could climb/ski a Cascade Peak, ride this much ST then float a river to the Pacific Ocean.

Lemolo and Dread n Terror are usually free of snow by the end of May, but trail crews dont clear fallen trees until mid June.
