Mount Bachelor for XC type climbing and riding?

of course when the snow melts. is there any good trails to ride up and down without having to pay for a lift that i won't use?

Lots of great riding right around Bachelor, but nothing "up and down" or over Bachelor.

There are plans for a lift-served bike park.

When does the snow melt near Dutchman/M-W/Flagline? Usually late July.

Yeah I will be interested in seeing how they tackle the Bachelor MTB park. The soil is so cindery I would guess they would need a lot of wood berms and such or even dirt brought in from off the mountain?

it would be great, especially since its not that steep of a mountain. seems like a lot of dirt would need to be brought in so that they can get any compaction. otherwise everything would just fall apart... that would be cool though!
