    "Loop of Fun" in Oregon?

Ok, Oregon bikepackers, help me envision what an epic "Loop of Fun" like this would look like in our state!

    http://www.google.com/search?q=salsa...&client=safari

Maybe even envision this loop starting in Eugene... Like MRT to Santiam Wagon Road to Sisters to Broken Top to Bend to (????) Crater Lake to (????) to the upper NUT to Timpanogas Lake to Middle Fork of the Willamette to Oakridge to Eugene?

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

Reminds me of OldHouseMan's idea from last week about a combined climbing/biking/rafting trip:
    North Umpqua Trail?

    "Loop of Fun" in Oregon?

Wow, that is a great idea! I rode much of the NUT this summer and had a great time. Have driven alongside the lower Umpqua but haven't floated it. All beautiful country.

For simplicity sake, my envisioned loop would be more riding than rafting. I don't have the water equipment, although one idea would be to find a shop that would rent out some on the condition that I send it back after getting downstream. A Bend shop would put me on the Deschutes going north, which would run the loop in that direction -- hey, maybe follow in some of VeloDirt's tracks on the way to the Columbia Gorge?

Their Oregon Outback route would be a good starting point: The Oregon Outback ? Part II | VeloDirt

    "Loop of Fun" in Oregon?

I'm familiar with MRT, Santiam Wagon Road, trails south of Sisters and west of Bend, the Waldo/Oakridge/Middle Fork areas and the upper NUT. It's the Crater Lake and to/from areas for Crater Lake that I don't know.

Also, I am wondering -- maybe there is something completely different to consider. Ochoco-Steens-Leslie Gulch-Succor Creek-Wilson Creek-Snake River? That would be a huge shuttle and not a loop. Remote in many areas. Less elevation than my first idea, but weather and wind could be hellacious.

Here's another option: Central Oregon 350. Great idea, but I think there's additional singletrack to be had along the loop.
