Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Lair Closure

The Lair will be temporarily closed the next couple of weeks, for fall maintanence and rebuilding. We will be having heavy equipment out there moving dirt, fixing problem areas, and hopefully creating some new jumps on the existing trails. We will be posting upcoming build days at the Lair, in the near future.

    Thank You,
    Nick Braun, COTA Freeride Coordinator

Nick and the boys are hard at work up there doing prep work with the heavy machines. On the 31st its time to get in there with a big work crew to clean everything up and armor all the sides of the jumps.

    Come one come all.
    Details to follow.

    Lair Update

As previously stated we have been hard at work over the past week, and into this week revamping the Lair for all to enjoy. As of today we are almost done with the expert line minus a few loads of dirt that need to be added here and there. The top of the expert line has been reworked to add a few more jumps, and make things flow better. The overall size of some of the jumps has also increased, to enable those that are capable to catch loads more airtime. Currently we are revamping the intermediate line. The size of the upper jumps has increased a little, and we are also adding some additional jumps to the line. We also plan to widen the bottom jumps, and cup the areas between the jumps which will provide longer landings and takeoffs. For the beginner line not much is planned other than cleaning up the landings, and takeoffs. If all this sound good to you come help us put this great playground to bed for the winter at the Oct 31st Lair work party. More details regarding this to come in the weeks ahead.

    cheers
    joe

I would just like to remind everyone to read signs when they go riding! The Lair is still closed to riders!
The Lair should be fully open after the build party on Saturday October 31st. I encourage people to come on out in the afternoons; if you help us by doing some work, we'll let ya ride for a while. But remember, work before ride!!!

I would like to thank the core group of volunteers that have helped to breath new life into The Lair!!! Without you guys, this wouldn't have been possible. I am forever greatful, of the back breaking labor and support that all of you contributed. Lets keep this ball rolling, and finish week 5 with a kick ass build party on Saturday, October 31st!
