    Jingle Balls, Jingle Balls! (DOD's Xmas party)

    Words by Sparticus, photos by Sasquatch

    In case you didn't attend, here's what went down last night...

    * Soggy pre-meeting night ride to view holiday lights
    * Meeting called to order
    * Gratitude expressed -- to everyone for coming (& for becoming a Disciple in the first place), to Track Town Pizza for letting us mob their place and for discounts on grub & brew, to Randy & MBO for footing DOD's ~$200 pizza bill, to Richard Sweet for handling arrangements with Track Town for the venue and for the sweet deals (no pun intended)
    * Acknowledgment of DOD's 20 years as a mountain bike club. Long speech avoided. We're still here. {Toast: clink, clink} Whatever.
    * Election of 2008 Exhausted Rooster: Call for nominations ("BROCK!"), Oral vote ("AYE!!!") -- Brock be stuck wit us 'n us wit him. (Oral voting concluded! No more oral voting, people!)
    * A moment with long time DOD member Jack Chilberto. A solemn moment broke the meeting's levity as Jack announced he was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Here is a link to Jack's blog: http://jack-theawakening2007.blogspot.com/ Best to you, Jack. You're a good man and your friends in DOD look forward to many more bike rides with you while you beat this thing. Meanwhile, Jack needs the love, support and help of his friends. Please read Jack's blog & please help Jack as you can.
    * Golden Shovel Award? Not this year... the obvious recipient wasn't present (besides, the GS is already in his possession.) You know who I'm talkin' about -- HankHank
    * All Comer's Meat fund raiser raffle. $130 worth of tickets sold. Thanks to Don/shiggy we have enough in the kitty for a keg at ACM4! THANK YOU, DON! (Matt/Sasquatch won the awesome 4-of-a-kind pack.)
    * Whypass trail build dates chosen: December 29 & 30 plus January 12 & 13 (yes, all 4 dates -- mark your calendar). Other individuals announced their plans to work additional dates. If you want to work on trails and want company, post up to the e-list and you'll probably find someone to work with.
    * Upcoming Terra Tech trail tool purchase... this is still in progress. Announcement to follow.
    * Holiday gift exchange -- what a hoot as presents were opened, stolen & traded.
    * Meeting adjourned

    Thanks, everybody! It's been another great year.

    Great pics Sas, fun seeing everyone!

    Welcome to the new Exhaulted Ruler. Please don't enforce mandatory tatooing on us all.

    The conversation below. Eric-"spend it on beer. Shiggy-"no, stickers". Eric-"beer" Shiggy-"no". Eric-"beer" Shiggy-"no". Eric-"beer" Shiggy-"no". Eric-"beer" Shiggy-"fine, but only one keg".

    Thank you for the love.

    Seasons Greetings!
    I had a wonderful time. Thank you DOD for the help, heckling, and good times. This group rocks! It was fun to practice stand up on a table comedy. Next year I will enjoy a beer with you all. Seasons Greetings!

    Peace and Love and ride fast and smoothe.
