As a youth I spent many a summer over at Hells canyon. Very rugged and beautiful country. I have found a route (granted it's gravel road) that I think would be a great ride.
Starts in Joseph Oregon and goes to Oxbow Oregon. 55 and a half miles. I drove it way back when and it was very pretty country. Lots of photo op's.
Has a couple of thousand feet of climbing. A very fast decent at the end.
Might have to try this someday. Might just drive over and check it out for the sake of the trip too.
Anyone else ride over that way? How did you like it? I am very sure it was worth the trip.
I know I would not try it in the summer months. Those rocks over there are sunburned for a reason. It is most definitely a fall time ride.
