Heading over the mountains to Bend/Redmond
A buddy of mine and me are going over to the Bend/Redmond area and we are planning to do a couple days of ridding. Does anyone know what our best options are right now considering the snow and general trail conditions?

Read some of the many other posts here. You'll find that Horse Ridge, Maston, and bits of Horse Butte are the places to ride now.

What farmer said. Note there is a trail work party in the Radlands on Saturday morning. Not sure how that effects riding there.
Anyhow, Smith/grey butte may be ridable, but head out EARLY while the ground is frozen. The back side of grey butte and smith can become mud pits.

Thanks for the input. What is the Maston trail system like?

I'm sure you can get this in the valley... Oh, you meant riding...
All of the above, just stay off Phil's lawn. (Phil's trail network is still too fragile)
Horse Ridge is NECTAR right now.

It's fun, fast, flowy, super fast, and easy. Nice XC trail for winter riding. Not a ton of trail but you can mix it up and have a great ride. I did 40 miles out there the other day and had a blast. Cross the street to play on/explore Cline butte for some extra fun.
