Heading to Klamath City on vacation...any advanced riding near by?

    Hi there

Next week, I'll be staying at the west lower side of the Upper Klamath Lake for a week. Looks like I can sneak a day trip to Ashland which sounds awesome. Is there anything closer someone might recommend the rest of the time?

I'm a fairly advanced rider with a lean toward DH. Too old for big doubles but I still ride fairly crazy shit and can pin it when I am feeling the itch. If you've ever been to Santa Cruz, CA...that's my stomping ground.

Will be bringing my YT Capra which is a fairly good bike for everything.

And even better, if anyone wants to play tour guide, that would be dope!

Thanks...can't wait to visit your lovely state.
I'm not sure how this works.

Rode Moore Mountain today. Overall fun but
    1) Way too many bugs in the AM
    2) Hard to navigate without a guide (I sort of get it now but I went the wrong way too many times to be happy about it...I pushed my bike up a some trails that were not meant to be climbed).
    3) The double black diamonds were far from double black diamond...fun but pretty tame.
    4) Unfixable sidewall flat on the long trail with the small jumps (guessing Whiskeytown) so had to walk the last mile.

I ended up doing Enduro from the tower a couple times as it seemed the funnest of the crop. The second time down was ay faster than the first...over shot that one jump over the dead redwood by a long shot but survived (phew). Climbed up 5 Gallon a few times too.

I think this trail system would be fun if you lived here but hard to navigate as a tourist (too many forks without markers...hard to figure out best way to get to top) and trails were pretty 'safe' to be considered rad. I still had fun though. It was fun. The flat sucked.

Any other trails around here that are more advanced in nature? Just curious.

    Thanks!
