Gray Butte, Bend riding okay in this week's rain?

Hi all, and thanks in advance. Given the craptastic weather predictions I'm reading, do any of you Bendites think it'd be a bad idea to come over from Portland and ride in your lovely area on Wednesday and Thursday? I've got some trips over there I'd like to do (Gray Butte, Phil's).

I'm just not sure if the rain is good (tame the dust) or really, really bad (bad trail karma or mud gumbo, especially at Gray Butte). Any recommendation you might have as to the goodness or badness of my "last-big-out-of-town-trip-of-the-year" would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Charley

Oh, and this is more Oakridge area, but what about Waldo Lake? Do yall think this week's weather has turned dust to firm soil, or straight to mud?

Often rain is forecast in Central Oregon, but the totals are small. Today was great on the Phil's trail system. Was firming up.

Rule of thumb: Gray Butte is never okay when it's wet.

Phil's should be good. I see lots of clouds on the high elevation trails though.

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick with Phil's.

mmmeh, I dunno. It's not gonna be super wet out there until a month from now or more. I agree though, the Gray Butte gumbo should be avoided at all costs.

I might drive up the Skull Hollow road and see what the trails look like. I've got a backup, though.
