Gales Creek / Browns Camp Conditions????

Anyone ridden Gales Creek or Browns Camp lately? I'm thinking about heading over there this weekend.

Does anybody have updated info on the section of the Gales Creek Trail from the Gales Creek CG to Reehers Camp.
I only ride bikes to fill the time when I'm not skiing.

Rode it last night. Great shape, though slick and puddly on the Gravelle Bros section. Even saw a county sheriff's truck patrol the parking lot before I started pedaling.

Currently, I have not seen the Gales Creek Trail open up as of yet.

I believe HydroGeek told me ETA was next summer on that section (Fred?).

After a contractor died in a freak accident, a new contractor had to be found and the schedule was set way back.

Rode there on Sunday 9/25. it was raining a bit with some sun breaks. Trail was not sloppy by any means and there were some dry spots, but it was slick, slick, slick. That trail is a much different trail when wet.

It was a little muddy last weekend, but sounds like it might have dried some since then ... ?

This section is still under construction. Delayed due to the accident involving the contractor as previously reported. The opening date that I was recently told is Spring 2012. Keep your fingers crossed.
    I ride at ludicrous speed

It was actually a bit muddier yesterday than it was 8 days ago, though the week was pretty dry in the valley it must have been raining up there. The trail is holding up pretty well but there are the usual mud-puddles at typical locations.
