    Frissell Trail?

Has anyone hiked or riden this trail? its near the town of McKenzie Bridge; the upper trailhead is accessable through the H.J. Andrews Experimental forest, but is not "in" the H.J. forest.
Looks gnar and steep, Forest service office said its open to bikes; might check it out this weekend if weather cooperates. Thanks for any info.

Well we went to check it out, and made it almost all the way up FR 1506 to the upper trailhead, before we were stopped by feet of snow in places. So we backtracked back down to the lower trailhead, and rode up the trail. we checked out maybe the first 1-2 miles of trail; it was fun and fast super skinny single track. 4 logs accross the trail. Cool terrain and BIG tree forests. We ran outta daylight, and had to head home.
Deffiately plan on checking the whole thing out as soon as the snow melts.
FR 1506 is on the North side of the ridge, so it will have snow for some time, unless we get really warm weather. 1506 also cut through the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest; some of the coolest forest I've seen; massive old growth forests. The Frissel Trail is on the south side of the ridge, so it had no snow an d great trail conditions. The trail does have some gnarly exposure on par with McKenzie river trail, if not a little skethchier. My 2 cents.... its a cool ass trail; but for the lazy shuttlers, the super long shuttle to the top may not be worth the quick 5 mile ride down. Good times had by all
