First Sandy Ridge dig of the season this Saturday 12/8
It's that time of year-- the moisture is here and it's time to give back to the trails.
NWTA and the BLM invite you to Sandy Ridge (SRTS) this Saturday, 12/8/2012, for the first Trail Maintenance day of the 2012-2013 winter.
The plan this winter for Sandy Ridge is to have fewer trail maintenance days, with a sponsor for each one. Our first sponsor this Saturday is the Oregon Enduro Series, giving back after the event this past summer. Devon from Oregon Enduro Series will be there with some swag and as always, we'll get diggers up the road for a post-trailwork ride.
Come out and throw some dirt for a few hours with other Sandy Ridge volunteers!
Sandy Ridge Trail Maintenance Day
- 12/8/2012
- 10AM-2PM
- Meet in the parking lot

I'm moving to Portland in February and you can bet I'll be doing my part to keep the trails fresh and challenging. Hell, my 8 y.o. daughter helps me when i'm digging DJ's. Hope you have a big turn out of volunteers as it should be!

Ill see you guys/gals there. I love riding the trail system there, I'm happy to anything I can to help maintain it!

Elistan-- I'll bring a special bucket of gravel just for you.
Seriously, many sections of lower Hide & Seek would not hold up like they have without the additions to the soil over the last two winters. Late season additions (when it's not as wet) did cause some issues... but the processes are being refined.
Looking forward to seeing some of you out there on Saturday!

I would love to see another trail built from the bottom of Turntable and Microwave to the bottom just like Turntable

I'm looking forward to the eastside trail.
No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch.

Yes, agreed, another tech trail from the top to link into the available lap options.
FYI the eastside trail is scheduled to open spring 2013.

Other trail build days had a sign up if I remember. For this one do we just show up?? Thinking of coming out and earning some trail karma.
-
Can we get some build days for the east side trail???????
-
Wish I could come help! Stuck at work however...

We had a lot of volunteers today and got in some good work on lower HS.

I'm bummed I didnt make it. Unfortunately, sometimes plans change during cold/flu seasons I'll see you guys at the next one.

qft. "Natural" armoring of a few sections that will not feel so man-made. Flow-inducing reroutes. Some nice swag handed out, too.
