    A Few Past Rides w/DOD

I finally got a new computer that I can upload pictures from my camera to. I've been mtb'ing a few years now on the NUT (my local trail) and decided this past year that I wanted to check out some new areas in which to ride. I signed up over on the DOD board and met up with some of the guys for a few of their rides last year. They were kind enough to show me around some of their favorite haunts. I hope to be able to do it again this year. Thanks guys. Here goes the first attempt at posting some pics from those outings.

1 - First ride w/ImaKlyde and fellow DOD'ers on Brice Crk
2 - Chris and ImaKlyde headed for Crawfish
    3 - Regrouping at Whypass
    4 - Waldo Lake
5 - Maxsteel warming up for Dread and Terror

Good job Steve! We gotta get you over for a ride on the Middle Fork or Lawler or something now, well, not *now* since it's raining cats and dawgs as I type. It's WhipeAss season.

I'm coming down several times for more fun on the NUT next year. What I've seen I've loved!

    Merry New Year.

    I don't know Caz...I got lost at the B.

What I do know is that I get thirsty quite unexpectedly every time I see your posts. Why is that?

By the way Steve, thanks for posting the pic of me finishing the 300' log ride. I'm sure there were those that wouldn't have believed it.

I'd be down for that Brock. I presume the aforementioned trails are also under snow about now. No?

Yup. It was during OR's dry season. You know, that one day out of 365 when we don't get any rain

We are just at 900 feet at our place and it's snowing freakin hard right now. Lawler and the other goods you have not been on yet are so not rideable for the next few months it sucks. ACM in a couple of weeks Steve! Are you coming?

Got it on the calendar Brock! This will be my virgin ride at ACM. I'm hoping to bring the ol' hardtail if I get the disc brake upgrade finished by then. If not, it will be the full squish. I've also got a line on some Trailrakers that I'm hoping to try out if they get here in time.

Yo Steve, haven't seen you since the NUT ride mid-late summer. Look forward to seeing you again at ACM.

You will love those tires for the WhyPass trails. They simply hook up in the mud better than almost any other tire I've used out there. Now in fairness to other tires, I haven't used a whole lot of other recent mud tires. I like the old Specialized Storm Controls, but they haven't been made in years, so they don't count anymore. I have heard good things about the Black Shark Muds, and some other wider tires, but if they are too wide to fit my frame I stop listening, and it's data lost to me..... If curious, ask Sparty and Shiggy about wider tires for mud.

12 days to ACM... but who's counting?

Back at ya Tim! I'm looking forward to it. I've got the 2.1's on order. I'm glad to hear that they'll be a good match for the wet conditions at ACM. Just hope they get here in time.
