    Festivus Eve

We (read: I) will be riding Festivus Eve (that's December 24 for those that don't know). The trail is not yet set, but likely Brice Crik or WhipeAss, maybe Larrison Creeeek. Time? 10 AM, probably. Show your Festivus spirit and ride your damn bike.

    Brock...

    PS: hoes, hoes, hoes.
Are the wheels roundish? Ride it.

Wish I could join ya Brock but family commitments won't allow. Brice Crk was my first ride with you and some of your fellow DOD'ers earlier this year and the Festivus Eve ride would be a fitting way to end the year. I'll have to try and catch up with you next time. Happy Festivus!

Any plans for a post ride Feats of Strength?

The spirit is strong within you.

We'll ride 'er till she pukes, just for you Steve.

Have a good Festivus! Oh, and yes, yes the feats of strength will be quite amazing.

    Brock...

PS: no broken Thomson seatposts this time around though.

Not trying to make myself look bad but where are the trails you're talking about? I need to find some better trails around here.

I live very near Cottage Grove and this trail is close to me. It's not epic, but it is fun and beautiful. If you are in PortLand it's a bit of a stretch...

    Merry Festivus.

Keep an eye on this forum for some post-ride photos -- you'll see.

    Pleasant Festivus!

(Yeah, pleasant. "Merry," "Happy" & "Greetings" were already taken in other holiday salutations.)

Interesting day. Started out at the LCC carpool spot to find the parking lots all locked, and only Chris had the guts to show up. Then waiting in Wally World's lot in CG we experienced a pretty hard rain mixed with some ice. At the trailhead it gave way to snow mixed with rain. Big improvement!! The ride was interesting too. An unseen trailsnake stole my front wheel our from under me once. Oh, and then Ian broke my bike!!!

The pics tell the story. The cast include Lucy, Ian, Chris B. Brock, and the otha brotha Lou.

P.S. The end of the ride was so disjointed with the broken bike and Lou cutting his ride a bit short, I don't know if Lou brought newbie beer. Let's assume no. Bring beer next time!!

What a great day on the trail, well for Chris and I (and I hope Lou). I can't believe Ian broke your bike! He walked every inch of rockiness today...sisterboy. That sucked.

(good)Chris was rockin' today! He had his groove on. There wasn't enough downhill for me to keep up with him...

Thanks for the ride boys. What a good tradition we have here...we need to start planning Festivus Eve ride 2008 here in about 11 1/2 months.

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!

That's two bikes Ian's broken now in the last couple months. He needs a cast iron frame.

Bummer about the bike. Friend of mine broke a Jamis in that exact spot. Warranty wasn't a problem, just took a looong time to get turned around. Good luck.

Otherwise looks like a great day.

    Great pics

The best thing about 33 and rain is movement is the only way to stay warm. Burr!
