    Dread/Terror/Atrition

We started out as one group of 6...ended up as 3 groups of two.

I apologize for the pics today. My monitor died so I was forced to resurrect an old crt with a weak tube. I have no idea of the exposures, they all look like black shadows to me. I can't even tell who is in all the photos.

I really enjoyed my first time on Dread n' Terror. Fun trail. I chose to SS for the first time in a long time and my arms and shoulders were toast! I was walking up some not so steep sections in the end because I couldn't hardly hold on to the bars anymore.

Flaps started out feeling puny and couldn't recover on the ride. Ted cut the trip short with Flaps and they retired to the hot springs.

Shiggy brought too much suspension and tweaked his knee on a fall. Steve drew the short twig and turned back with Shiggy.

ImaKlyde continued upstream with me till our collective conscience (at IK's urging) got the better of us and we decided to turn back so the others wouldn't be waiting so long. As it turns out, we were just short of Lemolo Falls and didn't know it. Next time. Ima did decide to rip his derailleur clean off his bike just to get a little extra rest break on the return trip.

The wood was realllllyyy slick today. On one of the causeway/bridges I fell with no speed and continued to slide on my butt.

Nice shots. Would you mind posting a closeup of your light mount?
Also, the streets are full of horizontal dropouts...

Sorry Flaps was feeling a little "puny" on your ride, that's my fault. I may have given him a little too much to drink Friday night. Taste-testing Tequilas probably didn't help either.

    Oh well.

I didn't buy any but after joining the rest of the crew for post ride eats and drinks at McMenamins - I'm kinda wondering about that Porter they served me. I thought it was kinda glutinous

All in all, it was another great day in the saddle. Nice fall colors and terrific weather. Thanks Paul, Don Ted, Tim and Brocko for letting me join you guyz.

...what you are talking aboot, eh. I have a rep to maintain here Maxy. *You* are the nice guy, *I* am the A-hole. Work with me.

    Brock...

PS: I love the Dread and Terror section of the NUT! What a great trail, beauty, fast/fun riding, a little nice tech to deal with, lovely. This is *the* best river trail in Oregon.

PPS: Thanks to Steve for the local knowledge and for nursing Shigg. Short straws suck, sorry.
Are the wheels roundish? Ride it.

Disciples Of Dirt, come ride with us.

So THAT's why I was feeling a little puny even before I came to your party? Dang, I time travelled without knowing it. I guess it explains the chills too, or was that fever?
Glad to say I'm feeling much better yesterday & today.
