    Dog River to Surveyors

Rode the loop today, conditions were about perfect. This might not seem epic to most of you, but it sure seemed epic with my overgrown rear on the saddle of my Stinky.

So how did you ride this loop? Ride up Dog and out Surveyor's?

I don't mind the climb up Dog, but I'd hate to do that and not descend it.

Yep, up Dog River, out Surveyors, down Oak Ridge, back up 35 to Dog River Trail head.

    Good on ya

I was hoping to take advantage of this amazing weather and get out that way for some quality trail riding, but between work and family it's not happening.

Agreed. Better to ride up the Dog, out Surveyor's to the rock garden past the lookout at the old fire tower foundation (MP ~ 9.5 or so), then backtrack. Every bit of the trail rides differently on the way back, and the views are surprisingly different, also. And not one inch of pavement, to boot!
