I just looked thru all my shots, but couldn't find any with your bike clearly visible. That sux that he's selling your bike down in City of Industry. Why dont you post on the SoCal MTBR board and organize a sting. I bet they could help you out. Bid on the frame, and when they go to pick it up, verify the serial # and then call the cops.

Sounds like he knows something about bikes. Sux he can take advantage of folks who might be interested in buying this frame, who dont know its stolen. Ya can't trust Ebay.

    Good Luck

Should you notify the City of Industry police now?

It would be a hoot to get a few buddies and make a trip to California.

    Call Ebay. Let them know...basta*ds!

This guy just started selling a bunch of bike & watches (including a Rolex) this month.
Pretty suspicious. No previous activity on his account since 2003.
Be sure and report this to Ebay. They have a large staff of fraud investigators. They can freeze his account.

Too bad the timing wasn't better

I just spent the past week in Riverside on buisness and would've been more than happy to set this guy up. I would be contacting Ebay about this.

    One good thing..

....this thread has reminded me to take pics of my bike's serial # along with the rest of the parts. Not too many PlanetX frames in Oklahoma - would probably be easy to recognize.

    holy crap

I dunno about you guys, but I am usually suspicious of individuals on Ebay and other online areas who use ALL CAPS and do not use correct grammer and punctuation. It is about image projection, and when you are online, your words and their arrangement are representative of you.

Glad you got your bike back, and I hope all this pans out.
