    Black Rock Advise

    Hi all

My brother and I are reletivly new to MTB'ing. We are looking at heading out to black rock next week. We are okay with drops and jumps and I understand most obstacles have a way around. I am looking for some pointers at what trails to hit up first before we do some exploring to get the most out of our day.

Hit Bonzai and Sicter gnar for sure. Spend some time at Basic for a good warm up

I wouldn't take on Blackrock as a set of trails, but more a mountain full of individual challenges with trails connecting them.

Definitely hit basic training to get a feel for the way things are constructed then plan on a slow day sessioning anything that looks interesting on Grannys, Sicter, Bonzai. There's a mix of stuff on most of the trails, if you're not into big gaps stay away from brakecheck though. Walk everything before attempting.
